Wenatchee bans at-home Bitcoin mining for one year

City Council will discuss the issue again March 22 at a public hearing. During the ban, city staff and Chelan County PUD officials are expected to work to determine the best way to regulate cryptocurrency mining in residential areas. Mining cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin, requires massive computing power.
