Bitcoin surged over $16,000 on Boxing Day in a rebound from the cryptocurrency's worst week since 2013. The world's largest and best-known cryptocurrency fell nearly 30 per cent on Friday from an all-time high of $19,843 to $11,159.93 - losing more than a quarter of its value in a single day.
